Soul of the Ultimate Nation Quest Guide

A lot of adventures will quest solo while playing in SUN’s expansive environments, but there are quests out there that require more than one skilled adventure to deal with.  We take a look at one of the very first grouping missions that SUN has to offer: Mission Sinister Rumor.

Players will find this mission in Zapir Lake, by talking to Guard Captain Heinrich located in the north east corner of the map.  Once accepting the quest, and finding some friends to group with, go through the dark blue mission portal to begin your event.

The main purpose of this quest is to kill Cerberus.  What the quest doesn’t tell you is that you’ll need to kill him a total of three times before the real Cerberus shows his face.

Stone Statues

This mission’s map is pretty straight forward, and will have your team fighting against monsters scattered throughout its grassy plains.  Quickly dispose of these wretched beast men and continue forward until you find a grouping of stone statues.  Once you’ve cleared the area, click on the center statue to make them rumble apart and reveal the monsters hidden underneath.  Defeat this new group of foes to make a portal appear, and be ready to enter a dark cave.

The Caves and Shadows of Cerberus

After entering the portal, you’ll find yourself in a cave with a few monsters in it and Cerberus behind them.  Fight the monsters, Cerberus, and the totems in this cave and exit back through the portal.  You’ll notice that your quest doesn’t state that you’ve killed Cerberus, because you’ve only killed a shadow of him, but not the real Cerberus.

Continue through the map, fighting your way through more beast men, and you’ll eventually encounter two additional groupings of stone statues.  You must summon the beasts at each stone statue grouping, go into the portal and kill the shadow Cerberus.

The Final Confrontation

At the third, and final, grouping of stone statues you’ll enter into another normal cave; however, when you defeat this Cerberus a more powerful – the real – Cerberus will emerge.  If you’re a low level, you may need to use some health potions to keep yourself alive, or have an Elementalist that can heal.  After killing this final Cerberus you will complete your quest, get a reward, and be teleported back to Guard Captain Heinrich.
