The level required to take the quest is 100. However your chances of actually completing it at 100 is as close to 0.00% as it can possibly get. Level 100 just lets you ENTER the new dungeon required to complete the quest. The new dungeon is named Coyote Valley (and not Grand Canyon as previously thought).
The new dungeon is an Ind Dungeon (for lack of better term for now) that uses the new Raid System. The monsters in there are about as hard as trying to take on Aztec at lvl100 WITHOUT the Grace of OMGWTFOTL medicine (go try it and see...). There will be no medicine for this to lower damage, parties must work together. Finally we see the advent of forced PROPER partying rather than LDP.
Quest items required to recruit the Druid are available through this Ind dungeon (for the non-cash players) or through the new Sabertooth Tiger box. The box also will drop the skill books for the Druid. Itam Mall fans can simply just spend 9001 dorras on the box and eventually get all the parts required for the Druid without ever entering the dungeon. For those who want to play free, well... find a LOT of friends, you're in for sum grind. WoW instance style.
The box containing the Sabertooth Tiger arguably will be the lowest chance in hell to get any sort of mount ever. The tiger is 1 out of 29 itams, due to the fact they have added the 3 Druid recruit items, and 6 book types for his two skills in addition to the 17+ usual piles of junk. Obvious cash bleed attempt is DAMN obvious... As much as I'd want the mount, I'd sooner resell atlas and buy the thing with gold. Not touching box with a ten foot pole out of principle alone.
The skills are named Wolven Soul and Forest Prison. Wolven Soul is apparantly NOT a passive, but a casted buff that lasts for 4 turns. Increases ATK and CRIT very significantly. Forest Prison is the Freezing/Ice Ridge stun skill that has an extra turn of stun for the center target. Still not sure if it does -MDEF or not. If it doesn't do -MDEF then it is not an Ice Ridge replacement. For all intents and purposes however, the merc seems to be a direct upgrade of Northern Viking in general.
