What Awaits in the Citadel Dungeons
Icecrown Citadel will feature at least 7 (12 by some counts) major bosses that will include the Lich King himself as the final boss of the sprawling dungeon wings. While The Lich King will most likely not be killable, interacting with him will certainly feature some kind of hint as to when players will be able to actually attack him in later stages of the World of Warcraft expansion.
Players may raid each instance, which is set up in wings of the Icecrown Citadel, with parties of 5-25 players and include several sets of epic loot. The Citadel is protected by the scourge and will require characters of level 80 in order to defeat the instance bosses.
Here is the list of the confirmed Icecrown Citadel Bosses:
- Bronjahm, the Godfather of Souls: This boss must be killed in order for the soul grinders to be destroyed.

- The Devourer of Souls: This boss is the foreman of engines located in this instance wing, the Devourer guards the souls taken by the Lich King.
- Krick and Ick: This instance of the Pit of Saron hosts Zombies that are the backbone of the Pit of Saron's mines. They stockpile metals required for Forgemaster Garfrost, and Krick. This leper gnome oversees the operations from Ick, Krick's terrible means of transportation.
- Forgemaster Garfrost: This boss will be require a skilled party to defeat as Garfrost is an Elite Scourge weaponry master. The Citadel’s Garfrost transports the stocks of saronite ore plus many other precious materials to keep the mechanisms of death alive.
- Scourgelord Tyrannus: This challenging enemy also resides in the Citadel’s Pit of Saron. Tyrannus must be defeated to move to the third stage of the instance.
- Falric and Marwyn: These bosses are Captains for Arthas Menethil in life, Scourge commanders for the Lich King in death. The Lich King summons Falric and Marwyn to the Halls of Reflection to kill anyone that tries to invade.
- The Lich King: His true purpose is still not known, but he is located at the end of the Citadels challenges sitting in his frozen throne located on an icy pillar.
