Zu Online: Swordsman PvP Tips

Swordsmen are the most pure fighters available in Zu Online. They are by far the best damage dealers and with a bit of luck have a chance of killing almost anyone in just a round or two. However, they are not without their weaknesses, which we'll be talking about in more detail.

First, what are some of the keys to building a successful PvP Swordsman?  Upgrading Enhanced Shots should be a priority as it can deal huge amounts of damage. Once Enhanced Shots hits the highest rank, rank 1 Thunder Shot will cause around 4100 damage, in addition to the base damage of 3000. And if you
spend your talent points properly and cast other spells, such as Cloud Piercing, swordsmen will cause impressive amounts of damage that can almost sweep everything off.

Now that we have your attention, let's talk about the drawbacks to dealing such awesome amounts of damage. Poor defense has long been the Achilles heel of the Swordsmen. In addition to this, deadly blows also have relatively long cool down times, meaning that if you don't take your opponent down quick, then you might not be around to take another shot.

Swordsman vs. Swordsman

With both sides pretty evenly matched, who wins often comes down to luck. To start, Swordsmen should cast beneficial spells, then use Thunder Chasing as their first attack.

Swordsman vs. Sun Warrior

When it comes to Melee specialists like the Sun Warriors, getting up into your face is more than a tactic, it's a governing philosophy. As the only race able to use the Sprint skill, keeping your distance can be difficult.  Therefore, if you can survive the first flurry of blows, and use Entangle to reduce the Sun Warrior's movement speed, you'll almost overthrow those opponents.

Swordsman vs. Moonmaiden

The Moonmaidens often hide, invisible, and wait for a Swordsman to approach and hit their Stone Trap. This trap deals a high amount of damage, leaving the Swordsman wounded and confused. Swordsmen should always be on guard for this and if they can survive the initial ambush with minor damage they have
a decent shot of pulling out the win. Swordsmen should cast Area of Effect (AOE) spells to ensure the Moonmaiden keeps her distance, then use Shots to finish her off.

Swordsman vs. Bead Fairy

Bead Fairies are not the typical PvP combatant, so it is relatively easy to defeat them.

Swordsman vs. Summoner

Summoners tend to be the toughest opponents for Swordsmen. As they tend to mirror the tactics used by the swordsmen by keeping their distance, it is up to you to move in close this time. Summoners will generally summon Ti-Tsang to fight for them. If they do, make sure you aren't distracted and concentrate on dealing damage to the Summoner himself.

Sounds difficult? Complicated? Well, no one said it would be easy, but let's hope that with this guide, it might be just a little bit easier.
