Interview: GM SKiNG on the Fiesta Expansion

Fiesta has a new major content update on the way called the "Level 89 Expansion" and we sat down with Fiesta's GM SKiNG to get filled in on the specifics of this highly anticipated update. With a new level cap, map areas, Master/Apprentice system, and many more new features, the 89 Expansion will bring loads of valuable content to Fiesta players. Have a look at the interview.

	MMOFury		Fiesta is releasing a new content patch, what kinds of new features can we look forward to when it goes live?

	GM SKiNG		More than a just mere content patch, Wednesday's Fiesta update is a full-fledged free expansion. Besides the increased level cap, the expansion also introduces the Monarch and Player Wedding features along with new areas to explore. The Monarch feature is a great addition that will allow players to receive cool bonuses for being associated with other players in the community. Veteran players that register as Monarch Masters can accept up to 20 Apprentices – lower level players that will receive benefits for pledging allegiance to their master. Masters receive 10% of all in-game money (copper, silver, gold, gems) spent by their apprentices. Another exciting feature users have been anxiously waiting for is Fiesta's new Player Wedding feature allowing players to virtually marry their in-game sweetheart. Married couples receive benefits – or the ol' ball and chain, depending on how you look at it – for tying the knot. Once a couple's wedding ceremony is complete, they will receive a cute pair of pets that hover over their shoulder, a new "Summon Partner" skill that summons your hubby when he's out with the guys or your wife when she's spending time with her friends instead of killing monsters with you, and finally, a 10% boost to all stats when the married couple is partied with each other.

	MMOFury		Will there be additions to the Map?

	GM SKiNG		Yes, there will be 3 new maps in this expansion: Burning Rock, Flaming Mine and Guardian's Holy Shrine. We also have 2 more maps coming soon: Temple of Spirit and Swamp of Dawn.



	MMOFury		A level cap has been anticipated, can confirm this? If so what will be the new cap?

	GM SKiNG		Players can now level to up 89 in this new expansion. The last cap raise came in the end of December, so this is definitely an exciting addition for all of our long-time, loyal players who have been sitting on 79 for some time now.

	MMOFury		With new levels come new skills. Can you highlight some of these new skills?

	GM SKiNG		All of the classes are getting upgrades to their existing skills, and the cleric is also receiving a new skill called Awaken, an instant AoE heal that affects members of their party.

	MMOFury		Will there be any major changes to existing quests and rewards?

	GM SKiNG		All of the quests have been completely overhauled. Every quest has been reviewed by our team and has had its text re-localized; we've addressed all of Fiesta's spelling and grammar errors. Also, item and EXP rewards have been increased for levels 1-30 so players can experience more of Fiesta without having to worry about a daily grind. We want everyone to know that our goal is to continue to improve Fiesta and the quality of the user experience for our players.



	MMOFury		How will some of the new features assist new players that are getting into the game?

	GM SKiNG		All our improvements to Fiesta's quests will definitely help new players better understand how to play the game and introduce them to Isya's lore. The quests and storyline were re-written by Outspark's game masters, and monsters from levels 1-5 will now give players tips as they attack them. We've also added Town Warp Gates in this expansion to help new players travel from town to town without worrying about learning long routes or having to find the correct town scroll. New players will now be able to complete quests faster and more easily interact with other experienced players.

	MMOFury		What benefits are available for the veteran players that participate in assist a new player?

	GM SKiNG		Veteran players that choose to become Monarch Masters and sponsor new players as apprentices will receive 10% of all in-game money their apprentices spend. Because Monarch Masters can have up to 20 apprentices, there's the potential for experienced players to make a lot of in-game money. Of course, apprentices can choose a different Monarch Master, so it's in the master's best interest to treat their apprentices with respect and impart all their Fiesta wisdom on them.

	MMOFury		Are all the rewards the same for all players that participate?

	GM SKiNG		All Monarch Masters receive the same reward – 10% of in-game currency their apprentices spend – but the apprentices themselves get different rewards based on their character class. Every ten levels apprentices will get powerful in-game, class-specific rewards like weapons, armor, and consumables.



	MMOFury		In addition to the new systems, what changes will we see to existing game elements?

	GM SKiNG		We've tweaked the UI and window sizes to make text easier to read. Also, the maximum number of players that can be in the same guild has been increased from 35 to 100. With this increase, guilds no longer have to shut their friends out or pick and choose which friends will make it onto the roster.

	MMOFury		So far, what do you think will be the most popular feature of the update?

	GM SKiNG		Fiesta players are going to love all of the new maps. Fiesta has always been full of visually-stunning environments but with this free expansion players are going to enter the darker side of Isya. As we begin the next chapter of Fiesta's ongoing story, players will start to see the areas where the God of Destruction, Markis, has warped and twisted the land. Restless spirits have come together to form a new threat, the Evil Spirit Gordon Master. High level players will get a chance to take on this new evil in a brand new Kingdom Quest.

	MMOFury		That is all the questions I have for now, is there anything you would like to add before we conclude our interview?

	GM SKiNG		This level 89 expansion has tons of new content for new and old Fiesta players alike. Whether you're an experienced Fiesta player that's been at level 79 for months or a new player venturing into Isya for the very first time, this expansion has plenty of content to keep you busy until our next free expansion.
