MMOFury sits down with Elf Online's Community Manager, Ivy Deng to hear what Elf Online has to offer, and learn about how this gem of an import was made and what we can look forward to.



MMOFury		The light humor that is offered by Elf Online has not been able to escape the eyes of many gamers. Can you give the general idea behind the game?

Ivy Deng		Elf Online boasts a humorous and jocose setting, graphic and music aiming at creating a green and relaxing game to players, making them out of the of daily burden and the sanguinary APRG. For the balance in game. Every profession has its weakness and specialty, there is no most powerful profession in Elf Online. There is only the best tactic and the best cooperation in ELF Online. As I said before, Elf Online boasts a humorous and jocose setting and is a green and relaxing game. This is what makes it different. It absorbs trandy elements and applies unique and creative systms, such as prank systems, self design weapon, convoy systems. These are what make Elf Online special. MMOFury		What was the development process like? What was your focus on character creation in order to add balance between classes.

Ivy Deng		Wonderzone Studio is the developer of Elf Online. Elf Online was first run in China since 2006. And it 2007 it comes North American. Each of the career has their specialty. Soldiers are stong in stamina, Rovers have pwoerful attack skills, Magician skilled in different kinds of black magic and spells and the scholars are dedicated to heal magic.

MMOFury		The cute but amazing graphical interface is considered as a major part of Elf Online. Why did you choose such an interface?

Ivy Deng		Elf Online overall graphic is relaxed and lively and boastes qute cartoon style. It mainly emphasize a hand-painted cartoon feeling. From the designer, this style was rooted in the cartoon he read in his childhood. The overall visual effect of the game aimed at achieving a feeling of the integration of different era, different geographical and different civilization in a chaotic time, in the dreamland, the magnificent graphic allows players to be totally relaxed when in midst of it, feeling like reading a humorous new era cartoon epic. We believe many players will have the same feelingas the designer does.

MMOFury		Elf Online has been considered more of a 2D game. Do you think that 3D gamers will be interested in it and how do you plan to attract them towards Elf Online?

Ivy Deng		Well, it’s true that 3D action rpg are more popular today. But there in deed hundreds and thousands 2D rpg fans who like colorful and vivid graphic rather than gloomy and dark 3D game world. As I said before, Elf Online is a green game with no bloody and violence elements, so, this game is absolutely suitable for kids and teenagers. They are our targeted customers. And our advertising and news release will also target these age group.

MMOFury		Both closed and open beta versions are available to general public now. What has been the general public reaction and how do you plan to promote Elf Online?

Ivy Deng		According to our survey during the open beta, most of our users are below age of 30 and there are a number of female players. We will do ads on sites and magazines whose users overlap with us. This is our plan. And we will also cooperate with professional gaming media. For player reaction. I want to borrow one of our user’s word: This reminiscent me of my childhood! This is what I want to give to our players.

MMOfury		There are rumors that there will not be any further development in Elf Online. Are you planning to continue content updates in the future?

Ivy Deng		Certainly, Elf Online is still improving itself with new elements added on to makes sure players will often experience some new things in Elf Online.
