Despite its hefty grind requirement, the graphics of Lineage 2 still have set the bar for MMORPG design. NCsoft vastly improved the graphics of Lineage 2 over the original 2D version of Lineage, and without a doubt sent shockwaves through the gaming industry with the attention to detail that was given to Lineage 2 upon its beta release in 2003.
 The graphics are very smooth flowing and more “fleshed out”, which is only expected, since the game uses the still very highly acclaimed Unreal Engine of Epic Games. On your computer, the game will only require a modest 512 MB RAM and a GeForce Graphics Card to run at its minimum.
Medieval games tend to be dank and dark, and in MMORPGs this could become a problem when spending hours at the monitor. However, this problem was overcome by the NCsoft development team due to Lineage 2’s use of brighter colors, and also using more contrasts in each frame.
 The graphics are simply breathtaking and seeing that in an MMORPG is a real delectable marvel. You would think that after so many years since its release that the graphics would be considered outdated and in need of a makeover, but the truth is that Lineage 2 still stands on top as one of the best graphical displays of a MMORPG.
With all of the new specs that computers are now built with, almost any gamer with a relatively current system will be ensured that the Lineage 2 graphics work at their best on the player's system. Players will want to stop and smell the roses in several places, literally.
 The fact is, if your going to fork out money every month to play an MMORPG, you want to make sure that your investment of time and money is not wasted on an outdate, easily replaced game.
We believe that Lineage 2 is a solid investment, and quite frankly goes head to head with any of the MMORPGs that are either currently released or in Beta today.
