GodsWar Online Falls Short of Expectations While IGG is selling their server migration as an increased effort to balance their new title "GodsWar" the truth is that the game is not as successful as they would have hoped and the player base is diluted. Last week we wrote about Runes of Magic adding a new server, and before that, Atlantica Online has been adding multiple servers to meet demand. GodsWar is not so lucky and has resulted in a reduction of server resources. I do have to say that their implemention of a the Faction Modification Program is a creative way to get past the negative reaction of dropping servers but non-the-less they will be merging their 4 servers into 2 due to low population. Hades and Ares will be the first servers to be merged, and Zeus and Poseidon will be the second set. Don't worry about losing any information, players' data including level, reputation, equipment, money, friend info, guild info and more will all be transferred by IGG and all server options will also still be available on the login interface so you can pick which server you want to choose at login. The new population on the servers will make for some interesting game politics and the PvP will probably be intense the first month. IGG is still planning away at the normal events, just without as many servers to manage them on. If you want to read the propaganda check out. http://gw.igg.com/news/news_view.php?aid=578
