Famed Soccer Player Signed As Game Ambassador
Interzone Entertainment, parent company of game development studio Interzone Games, today announced it has hired Brazilian World Cup Soccer champion Romario as an international ambassador representing their upcoming virtual world MMO Interzone Futebol (IZF). Romario lead the Brazilian World Cup Team to a 1994 World Cup Championship, and has scored over 1,000 career goals.“It is a pleasure for us to have one of the greatest players in the history of world soccer supporting us in this Brazil launch,” says Marty Brickey, founder and CEO of Interzone Entertainment. “IZF gives players a chance to become soccer stars in the virtual world.”“With IZF Interzone has managed to create a game in which you can become a sports superstar,” says Romário. “Now everyone can have a game with their friends without leaving home.” Romario starts today a full schedule of television and radio interviews, and will make promotional appearances across Brazil. He will also write a Portuguese blog on the Interzone site called Blog do Romário, which will be hosted on the Interzone site.
