Vote for the Biggest Disappointment of the Year While the trend in gaming has always been to give accolades to the games that get it right, gaming site Negative Gamer takes a bit different approach with the 'Biggest Disappointments of the Year Awards'. Voting is currently underway in this year's awards for the games that just did not get it right. While most are not MMOs, and honestly we may not agree with the nominations, there are few that seem to be justified. On the list of "You're Doing it Wrong" is the game that created much controversy with their misleading ads "Evony" which is basically the only online game aside from Farmville if you count facebook games.
Some not-so-predictable nominations include the PC games Dante's Inferno and Modern Warfare 2. In the category of Biggest Broken Promise both the lack of support for the first Left 4 Dead, and the boycott group for the game's sequel, have been nominated.
Surprisingly left from the list are Stalin vs Martians, Tunnel Rats, and Grey's Anatomy the game, all terrible games that were Hyped up prior to release. I would think at least those major fails would have been mentioned, you could also make a case for the latest Leisure Suit Larry, the game that became a cult classic back in the day of DOS prompt floppy disks (Yes I owned It). We do concede though that these are disappointments, not necessarily worst releases.
A new award for the News or Discussion Topic Driven Furthest Into The Ground has been added to last year's list of awards, with the death of videogame journalism, the PSPgo's failing start and the controversy surrounding Modern Warfare 2's “No Russian” level all being nominated.

The winners of the awards will be announced on New Years Eve.
